I love a freebie, and similarly-minded Dublin-based folks with a commute that takes them through the city centre may be interested in the Arnotts Gifts app for iThings.
The app is an advent calendar of freebies and draws: one freebie and one draw per day in the run up to Christmas. Details are announced each morning.
For the freebie, check the details to see where you’ve to show up and when (some offers have an associated timeframe), then arrive with the app and click through to show the QR code for the offer. Offers are limited to a specific number of customers, but offer details tell you how many, so you can have a guess as to your chances of getting lucky before you detour. So far, there’s been no purchase necessary for any of them.
The draw is related to the freebie, and you can register from anywhere using Facebook, Twitter or email – no need to drop by the store.
So far there’s been a free box set of mini Yankee Candles (and a draw for a bigger box set), a free coffee (and a draw for a hamper of coffee paraphernalia), and today there’s a free face wash (and a draw for a skincare hamper). One to keep an eye on if you’d be in the area anyway.
