(Other browsers may do this too &#8211; IE doesn&#8217;t seem to.) <\/p>\n<p>To do this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the URL for the content you want to pin.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click the tab and click <strong>Pin tab<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You&#8217;re done!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharonmurphy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/PinnedTabs.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.sharonmurphy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/PinnedTabs.png\" alt=\"Tabs - pinned and un-pinned\" width=\"437\" height=\"75\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sharonmurphy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/PinnedTabs.png 437w, https:\/\/www.sharonmurphy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/PinnedTabs-300x51.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 85vw, 437px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Your pinned tabs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open automatically when you open the browser.<\/li>\n<li>Are shrunk down to show the favicon for the URL only, not the page title.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t change focus\/close if you click a link in them &#8211; the link opens in a separate tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve found pinned tabs particularly useful for keeping a Google inbox and calendar open, plus the web interface(s) for whatever communication tool(s) is\/are flavour of the month with the team(s) I&#8217;m working with.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chrome and Firefox let you &#8220;pin&#8221; content you want to appear in your browser all the time.
